Let’s go back to the beginning.
The beginning of the month, that is. Remember this? You made marks in your journal, and maybe they were the first marks you had ever made. They were perfect as a resource for today’s exercise.
Find a new page in your journal, or a single page, but DO NOT divide it as you did previously. You may need to use more than one page.
Using your large paintbrush and black paint – imitate the marks you made in your quartered page. They will look very different using these materials – that is the point of this exercise. Try to be less controlled and to work the brush from the wrist rather than stiffly with the fingers.
Don’t forget to link back to this post if you write about it on your blog or website.
