Be Creative – February – Prompt 17

I have the feeling that most of you aren’t enjoying this month of prompts. Surprisingly, no matter your experience or discipline, making marks like this on a regular basis can improve your skills in other areas too. Don’t ‘chicken out’. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND GO FOR IT!

Once again we are working with the textile we chose earlier this week.

Today we are working on a full page – and making marks with something strongly black. Use a crayon, felt-tip, etc – you will get the idea. Cover the page – right into the corners as well as the sides and middle – with different parts of the pattern. Overlap, change scale – change implement too if you like. You could even use your finger on your phone or tablet with a suitable app. Don’t forget to post pictures of your page – with links back to here if you blog about it.

February is the last month of daily prompts for the time being. Make the most of them while they are here.

Please don’t think that. These are exactly my kind of prompts and I love them. I’ve been dabbling but it’s been such a busy month and I seem to have taken on more than I can reasonably do….please keep on and I promise that I will start to post again soon. Olivia’s Third birthday on Thursday so once I have finished her book, cardigan, and various other things I should have some time. I hope you are feeling tons better my friend, look forward to meeting up soon. Love and hugs xxxx

Thanks for the encouragement, Wendy! I haven’t seen much evidence of drawing, lol, but your creativity certainly fits the 365. Enjoy the party – can’t believe she’s nearly 3!!!!

I am thoroughly enjoying them, Myfanwy. They give me a creative outlook that I haven’t had for years and I look forward to your prompts both here and on Winter Journal every day. Thank you very much for thinking them up. Grace.

Thanks Grace. I appreciate your comment too. I’ve left a note in the journal group – I’m sure you will see it.

Me too Myfanwy … I just posted some efforts today and have been doing the drawing exercises: I love doing those as they free up lots of blockages :). It is half term this week so I will post some more of the drawing efforts too. Keep it up pleeeeease X

Thanks, for your encouragement too. I really appreciate it. There are prompts ready for the rest of the month – but maybe something different for March? I’m thinking about it.

It is not the prompts just that I have 8 family birthdays in February and have been making cards and gifts! Also had to organise a family weekend as a surprise for RD.

No need to make an excuse, Irene – there are a few of you that I know do something every day. However, out of nearly 800 members – and more than that that follow the blog……. I think you get my drift! Enjoy your family. April is a month like that for us.. and I need to get started 😉
